della Berardenga opened in 1986 as bar and tobacconist's and the
following year it became a restaurant. Adriana Dragoni has been running
this typical osteria since its opening and he makes his customers feel
at home. The menu and the wine list are tied to the territory, with
pasta and fresh homemade sweets. The menu changes twice a day (lunch
and dinner) according to the fresh products that are available in the
market. The taverna's speciality is duck baked in the oven ( excellent
as sauce to serve with homemade pici). You should not miss the mixed
fry alla Taverna with white meat and mixed vegetables. What can't be
missing in Chianti's cuisine is veal that here you can eat barbequed,
the classic T-bone steak, the thinly sliced meat and baked in the oven.
Mushrooms, truffles and seasonal vegetables are always present on the
menu. The wine list includes local wine with a selection of excellent
Chianti Classico D.o.c.g., that give the possibility to discover
different types of Sangiovese chiantigiano.La Taverna has two halls
that seat up to 50 guests and in the summer 15 guests can sit outside.
